I am in contact with the Dacco factory regarding building more of these T/Cs. They will allow you to bolt a 2004R trans to a 2.3 engine using the A4LS flexplate, as I did in my build thread. Is anyone interested in getting one, just in case they can give us a price break for multiple units? The T/C will have a stall range of 3200-3700.
They ARE going to assign it a part number so that others can order directly from the Dacco factory in the future. [thumbup]
PM me if you are interested.
This is great news. Well done Howard
We now have 3 members interested in purchasing these T/Cs. Because of the holidays, we probably won't get a price before the first of the year, but they did say there will be a price break if they build that many at once.
PM me if you want to be added to the list.
WOOHOO! We have a response!
I just got off the phone with the Dacco factory in Tenn, and they quoted me a price of $350+ shipping for the custom T/C. The specs are as follows:
PP7712-MSLU with the following changes:
1) "MS" means "Mid Stall" of 3200-3700
2) "LU" means "Lock Up"
3) Change front cover to work with our 2.3 pilot and increase bolt pad height 1/4". This will allow the use of the 2.3L A4LD flexplate( Plate will have to be drilled to match the Chevy 3-pad arrangement.
4) The input drive will be changed from the 30-spine of the 700R4 to the 27-spline needed to fit the 2004R.
They are building an extra T/C to have on hand. If anyone wants one in this run, I need to know ASAP!
Merry Christmas!
-Howard
Cool. I’m interested to see how it runs

The first one i installed in my SVO runs great! I haven't had the chance to video it for everyone to view. Tough to run the phone camera while trying to drive!
I am buying one of the three for my Ranchero build.
