the cable setup in the 1983-1986 TC is exactly the same as the 1986-1993 Mustang 2.3L clutch cable setup. They use the same cables and clutch quadrant setup as the mustang.

What I did was I pulled the shifter out of the floor... then proceeded to fill the tranny thru the shifter plate on level ground until a friend could see ATF spill from the top square plug on the pass...
