I put the K&N on my SVO in the fender and ran the vent tube from the canister through the fender to the K&N. It gets odor rarely but sucks it clean into the motor when the car is started.

If you were 18' off on the timing then it will come alive after setting it right. Assuming a stock fuel system you need to re set base idle and your tps.

So if the blowby is bad enough it pressurizes the drain tube holding oil from flowing or actualy pushing the oil back far enough to burn the bearings?
