My shortblock is old with lots of blowby. I doubt I'm making 250HP. And I made no attempt to speedshift. I have Folvo updates (with images) to post and I can't seem to figure out how to put them up. ...

I did an initial cam degreeing exercise today. It was without the lifters in place so I couldn't crash the valves by accident. I learned that with #1 at TDC both cam dowels up is close enough to assem...

I ran the numbers for the cam events I found on turbobricks and got 110 intake and 115 exhaust. Given that these numbers are likely for a NA engine do you think that Wes's numbers would be a superior ...

Thanks Ray, I'll check those things out when I swap in the new engine. I tried shortening the pull rod and the car is driveable again. Maybe its just clutch wear?

I assumed my problem was issues with the hydraulics, but I bled the system and no change. I measured the travel at the fork and I've got 1.25" which is the same as I had when it was working. What othe...

Thought I might try to incorporate it. I have a sensor now for low brake fluid as well.

I welded a baffle into the oil pan on my new engine since I would like to do some autocrossing. If I had a do-over I would add a flange to the baffle in the areas where they are welded to the vertica...

I'm using a beam wrench, and the readings are sustained. They vary from the lowest at TDC and BDC and higher midway between. Most of the friction is the ring package. Just trying to get a sense of whe...
