HY35w on a XR4Ti...Can I clock it?
#1

I just got a HY35w for my XR4Ti project, I have to clock the housing to make it work correctly but it has small mounting dowells between the housings and the center section (one small dowell per housing, REALLY small, less than 1/8"). Can I remove these dowells and clock the turbo as needed? Will this hurt anything?

Thanks!

I did, didn't cause any problems.
I think that was just a nice little thing they did for the dodge guys to ease installation.

Good to know, I just dont want to mess up my new turbo, they didnt seem stout enough to keep anything aligned.

Anyone else remove the dowells?

I just used 2 small screw drivers and a pair of channel locks. It takes 2 people but it works great.
