1962 Ford Falcon Build Thread (sorta)
#1

Hey guys. My current project is a 62 Falcon 4 dr sedan. It's a bit of an odd build, but what do you expect on turboford? I'm putting the 2.3t and t5 from my ranger in it, and doing a Mustang II front conversion with a 4-link rear and narrowed 31 spline 8.8.

I really like the patina, so I don't plan to paint it. The exteerior will be a little bit rat-rod or clunker style, what ever they are calling it these days. But in reality, it's a sort of oddball pro-touring build.

I've decided not to do an actual build thread on here due to the no direct links to pictures policy, but I am writing a blog about the process of building a car. Feel free to follow that blog or just watch this thread because I'll post links to my updates here.

I'm lovin' the Falcon buildup, Jesse! My grandparents had one of those in white with a red interior. It had a 144-inch six and "three-on-the-tree".

Very "stealthy" with the 4-dr sleeper body style.....and will probably surprise quite a few unwary weekend cruisers, lol! Smile

I have a 1965 Ranchero I built. There are a few pic's if you do a search. I will be glad to share info as far as what I did. The only regret I have is leaving the original steering.

If you're in LA why bother? Bring that bad boy back east and it'll cease to exist in a couple years, lol. I wish we could drive cars with patina around here. Sadly, patina around here is missing the lower couple of inches of your car.

Some call it patina, others call it rust!
One you can charge more for, one has a hard sell
