1985-86 SVO underhood wiring diagram
#1

Hey y'all,
Been a while since I've posted on here but hoping someone can help me with a complete underhood wiring diagram for an 85-86 SVO, body and engine.
I'm looking for one that shows the wire colors and one that shows what all  the connectors look like.
I'm completely rebuilding my SVO Capri and trying to clean up the engine bay by deleting the wiring I'm not needing since I'm running Megasquirt. I also want to hide or reroute the wires I do need.
Any help in this is appreciated because all I'm finding is bits and pieces from what I'm calling unreliable sources.
Thanks,
Rick

Hey, Rick ~ I don't know if the following links have all of what you need, but at least they're a start:   Smile

FYI: There's some differences between the 85 and 86 SVO, so being more specific would be helpful (in-line vs square intake, for example). Your best bet is to locate the EVTM (Engine Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual) books for 1985 and 1986 Mustang, which includes SVO. I have these somewhere in my buried library,. just can;t get to them just now.

I already have a Frankenstein and know that I don't have an 84 with the underhood "brain box" of the day, i was also given the composite headlights with the car, so for those 2 reasons, I'm assuming its either a late 85 or 86 SVO setup.
Thanks,
Rick

This is what you need. These are factory wiring diagrams and you can trace each wire from source to component. EVTM's are great and are an excellent addendum to factory wiring diagrams. If I was undertaking your project......I would have both.
