Just wondering if you had any updates on this? Really cool swap so far.

I'm very interested to see how you set up that turbo and how it works...that will be really cool. I don't think anybody on the board has used the VG yet...

My pregnant wife has me pretty busy inside the house with a honey-better-do-...-or-else list.

Yes, the turbo is what I'm most excited about. I contacted an electrical engineer about designing a stand alone controller for the HE351VE turbo. I have it all figured out in my head and made an Excel spreadsheet with the the algorithms...I just don't know the circuit board portion of the design. It was cost prohibitive for low volumes. Nevertheless, I'll figure out a good way to run it Smile .

I realized I didn't do an update after I mounted the radiator last time. Without further delay...

I used 18 gauge, 1020CR for the lower radiator brackets:

The turret punch made quick work out the oval slots that the radiator bushings fit in. In the below photo, you can see one bracket sitting in/on the die set.

Completed the upper radiator mounts today. It's sorta funny...that radiator is the OEM radiator for that car, but I removed the radiator support because of the last engine (BBF). Now, I'm back to the OEM style setup Smile .

I'm working on rounding up a cable pull bellhousing next. I already have the pedal assembly in with adjustable clutch quadrant.

Planned order of events:
1) Bellhousing
2) Fuel sytem
3) Wire up Megasquirt
4) Fire engine
5) Fix any problems found with startup
6) Make header for HE351VE
7) Install new turbo
8) Build exhaust system
9) DRIVE!!!

Have a good day!

lol, gotcha!

Here is the build thread on it:

http://www.460ford.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136706

It's a 'basic' engine build with good parts and a turbo. The engine is a 547 cid BBF with good cylinder heads and a turbo Big Grin .

Right now, I'm building the headers. Passenger side is done. Driver's side is half finished.

Have a good day!
