mine's also white... haha
not much going on at the office, so here's my build:
This winter it started off as a simple pull the motor out and throw a cam, header, and turbo on it. That quickly spiralled into much more.
The combo I had was obd2 block with turbocoupe internals, e6, charlie green t3/t4, then changed to chinese t3/t4, custom upper intake, ported late model dual plug, LS6 valve springs, ID725s, 255 pump, blow through HPX and an ebay FMIC. Tuning was done at a friend's shop using SCT, then later refined by me using BE/QH.
Friend built me a stainless log with external gate mount, will be using a tial mvs 38mm. bolted to that will be an HE351. The cam was going to be an engle cam, then i found a BO 1.5 for a good price, then i decided i wanted bigger and started looking into esslinger stuff. ended up with the new 490.239 cam.
Meanwhile I also ended up finding a good deal on an early dual plug head with some home porting and big valves already installed that I was able to get for some trading/cash. Sold off the late model head.
Then.. continuing the tread of changing basically everything, I purchased the overly fancy/expensive early dual plug intake that guy had for sale.. but quickly sold that off to build something cheaper. Now I'm building a custom intake with some of ross machining's bell mouths. should be nice when finished.
All of these parts were to go on the bottom end that I was running, until I pulled the head off and found a piston that didn't quite reach the top of the bore like the others. So now I'm throwing the 2.5 stroker parts from Jangus at it. Should have a very stout little monster come spring.
The bottom end will have a static compression of around 9.5-9.8:1 with my head, and a "dynamic compression" of 9:1 ish. Living in the corn belt, I do have lots of access to E85 and I plan to throw the cobs at this motor, rather than the coals.
Block and head are currently at the machine shop, the engine bay is getting a little clean up, and it should soon all be going back together to get ready for spring!
STAY TUNED.
