Prior to the site's update, our "old" version required that a minimum post count (25-ish?) be met before PM privileges were granted to new members. Perhaps that requirement was re-implemented? DUNNO.  In the meantime, you might consider posting contact info like your email addy or phone number. If you're paranoid about some kinda "bot" harvesting yer info.......you could put it in "code" (example = 73goliath att gee male daut calm).  <shrug>
