blowing spark out?
#1

What does "blowing" spark out feel like? Top end in fourth my car seems to trailer hitch a little around 19-20 psi I have it set at 17 but it creeps to 19-20 around 4k and up any help for that problem as well?

From what I know it will miss and fall on its face. What are plugs gapped at now??Without MSD you should be between .030-.032.I run .045 with the MSD.Trailer hitching may be from the BOV you are running.Do you still run the VAM??

Oh it's pretty obvious when it blows the spark out...it sounds a lot like when a car bounces off the rev limiter.

ok it is not that bad just a stumble and the boost will drop a pound or so and pick back up so it is enough of a miss to slow boost but nothing like a rev limit. It could be the bov leaking I have a check valve on it though. It only happens above 4k close to 5k. Of course I have only put 60 miles in it since the turbo swap maybe a break in bug?

Mine was blowing the spark out, have been fighting it all summer, in 3d and 4th it would pop, pop, pop and maybe a crackle or two, once & a while backfire, a/f gauge said it was rich until the popping started then just bounce between rich and lean, I dident know if it was starving or was too rich, my 764s were gapped at .028 I put a new set in tonight gapped at .025 and all the popping is gone, runs great, went to 27 lbs boost, runs good, still fighting the slipping clutch though, wednesday night test and tune, 13.40 @ 106 I'll fix up the c-4 for the weekend. (car show and burnout contest is on saturday, I need to find someone with a camera that can take movies!)

If the BOV is leaking,no matter if you have a check valve, it will act like you are explaining.
When I put my BOV in, it would get to 7 psi or so and fall on its face like I hit redline. It was opening due to the light spring.I put in a heavy spring and adjusted it a bit and it went away.If the spring cant handle too much boost, then it will open from the pressure.
