what the best/cheapest boost control that will get the job done?? is there anything i can easily makeshift to do it myself

hey, s it just me or did ric change the style of his boost controller? if so, i like that method of mounting/design alot more than the average boost controller. i mgh break down and buy one if my 18 PSI isnt realized here shortly.

Euphemistically challenged
There are definately cheaper ways to make a boost controller, but the type of boost controller Ric makes works excellent. I used to run a cheap bleed valve on my 2.3L Turbo and always saw about 2psi worth of spike before settling to the set amount of boost.
I've got Ric's valve on my Eclipse Turbo and get a rock solid 15psi with not even a hint of a spike!
I just made a relief valve shown to me by "Hamsterbation"I have 12 dollars in it total.No spike no creep,and it holds 19psi steady.

Thats exactly the way I made mine (with the brass fittings). We cut off a fitting, and drilled a hole in the side of the relief valve, and silver soldered the barbed fitting onto the side of the valve. Works sweet, and looks exactly like the Gillis valve. We also soldered up the hole in the end of the adjustmnet screw, and drilled a 22 thousandths hole in that, for bleed off, as mentioned in the instructions. Works awesome! Thanks again, guys.
