The servo motor system is capable of moving faster than the human can, so there is never any lag, or delay, unless the electronics commands it - such as cold operation, traction control events, power reduction due to overheating, collision avoidance, etc.
BTW - Cruise Control gets really easy with throttle-by-wire. No extra motors, vacuum pods, cables, etc.
