I live in Louisville too. My friends have told me about a turbo ranger running 8's down at Ohio Valley. I recently bought a Merker 2.3T and am currently having it rebuilt. I still need an ECU,a wiring harness and would like an intercooler. If you could let me know where I might be able to find these parts around here I'd appreciate it.

hey i've got a 1986 ford ranger longbox 2wd.

I put in a worn out 1987 2.3 turbo motor out of a 1987 thunderbird and went to the track i was using the t-bird 5spd and i had a open rearend with 3:73's in it my truck had a K&N cone air filter and a 2.5 inch down pipe with a complete 2/5 inch exhaust with high flow cat and muffler. I ran a very bad 17.5 running 75 mph spinning the tires 1st 2nd and third i was running 215/70/14's not seen in the pic. Now i've got my motor out i'm gonna rebuild it and port my upper and lower intake and the head for some extra power i'm also going to be running 19 ;bs of boost and i'm changing my tranny for a c-4 and i've also changed my rear end to a 3:45 posi unit and it hooked way better on the street with these gears. I"m alos going to maybe put in a shift kit.

I have a '94 Turbo-Ranger - Love it!!! the biggest joy is the unreal amount of very low rpm torque. I find that I can easilly out accelerate other vehicles just by driving only with about 1/4 throttle. I don't have track times yet.

85 4x4 with 88 GT body. Caroth figured it to be a mid-high 14 second vehicle before with a reasonably stock ported 84 motor running 15 psi, but a MAJOR power infusion will be happening very soon. Engine build will be finished after I get my stuff back from powder coating on monday. Just waiting for my T-5 to show up after that. Watch for pictures of the engine - I think you'll like it.
