EEC Tuner cable and PS question
#1

Does anyone know the pinout for the cable itself? I can't find mine and was going to just build another using a cat5 cable.I built a longer one before but i can't find the pinout sheet i made telling me what color went to what pin.

Also what voltage is the Power supply for the tuner? i have no idea what happened to mine.

I am trying to verify the tuner i have works so i can sell it.I don't have any use for it anymore it worked fine when i last used it,i just want to be 110% before i put it up for sale..

Thanks
Steve

Hey I may just buy that from you, would you sell it for a cheaper price if you gave it to me as is?

What power supply are you speaking of, I thought the software just ran off PC or Laptop?

I really need a tuner but cant afford brand new right now

i would feel better knowing if it was still in perfect shape.there is no reason why it wouldn't still work but testing it would give me piece of mind. This tuner doens't have hardly any use on it.I had 2 of them at the time and this one was in a project T2.3 mustang i was building.it's the 5.1 with the ECO1 update.

And the PS is used for tuning it outside the car"for people that don't have laptops".Basically you pull the tuner off te EEC and take it inside to tune then reinstall it in the car..
I don't have any fords i can use it on so i need the PS to test it..

thanks alot...

I looked on the yahoo group and didn't find anything.I did e-mail shiftmaster about a week ago with no response.
Before i just pulled the 2 screws out of the serial connector end of my old cable and made a diagram telling me what color wire went to what pin on the serial connector. But i can't find the diagram.

I'll keep looking unless someone has a cable handy that can help out..

Thanks again
