Flywheel bolts
#1

I'm doing oil pan work and have to remove the flywheel to get the pan down.

1 are the flywheel to crank bolts reusable?

2 If not what are we buying these days? I remember I used ARP bolts when I converted to manual, but I don't have the part number handy anymore.

3 are the pressure plate bolts reusable?

4 If not what part number for those too?

TIA

I've always reused mine.  They aren't torque + angle, so they shouldn't be yielding.

.
All the bolts you described are reusable, if not damaged/stretched (see pic). The only bolts on a Lima that are not reusable are the later 6-point "TTA" (torque to angle) head bolts. If you desire ARP flywheel or any other of their bolts/studs..... I suggest consulting their online catalog for the part number(s).

BTW ~ If converting to studs (heads, mains, etc.) I suggest getting the "undercut/relieved" versions, as shown in the R/H pic, whenever available. Doing so will allow "stretch/elongation" to be spread out over the entire bolt length, instead of JUST the smaller-diameter thread-root area, as shown by the bolt in the L/H pic whose stretched portion wasn't engaged in the block or other component. <shrug>

NOTE: The threads removed from the course end of the undercut studs is a custom modification that some (for example, Bob Myers) have implemented to put the "engaged" portion deeper into the block, thus preventing/minimizing "pulling/distorting" of the deck surface. <thumbup>

If you want ARP flywheel bolts, look for ARP 151-2801

Thanks guys. I hope to get the oil pan project done next weekend.

My bad back is slowing me down more than I would like.
