Got E6 today and EEC question
#1

What do I need to do to the E6 I got for the 83 today. Time to practice a little porting and polishing Found a decent Dremmel at the pawn shop, any use for it? Since I am doing this and have put an IC on , should I think about upgrading the EEC, and what about the injectors? all suggestions welcome!!!
P.S. I did check the FAQ first, limited info on the exhaust and the super chip page shows nothing for the 83. Besides I have heard a lot about them not being any good....input????

If you are going to do an E6 and computer swap you you will also need larger injectors and a large VAF to match the ECC. My self I would look for a computer, injectors and VAM from a 87-88 TC it should have everything you need.

------------------
88 TC Bleeder valve, 15-16psi boost. Conical air filter attached to VAM
Looks better but still not done.Runs like scalded cat. 10/12/01 15.81 @ 85.97 mph
88 TC, 15-16psi boost. Conical air filter, Gillis valve.

S/D - Congrats on your E6 purchase. Unfortunately, however, I think any effort to port it with that tiny Dremel tool is gonna be kinda like trying to tunnel through a mountain with a teaspoon. If you've got an air compressor, I'd recommend an air die grinder with a 1/4" collet and a real aggressive carbide burr (personally, I like the "oval" ones) - they use a lot of air and you'll be doin a lot of waitin' for the compressor to catch up, but it'll still cut your time to 1/20th of what it would take with that Dremel! If you don't have air, get one of the larger electric die grinders by Milwaukee, Makita, etc. - look for the one with the highest amp motor (hopefully 5 or more). You might check E-Bay if you're not in a hurry, but beware of the cheap Taiwan ones that only have a 2-3 amp motor. [Image: smile.gif]
