GRP BUY Bob Log bolts (NO INTEREST, CANCELLED)
#1

Just judging the need for a group buy. I got a Bob's log (nice piece) and saw the bolts that came with it. I wanted a better bolt. I found 316 Stainless A4 bolts with hex head. The cost for 8 will be ~$18 plus shipping. Shipping should be ~2 bucks. The price might come down if I buy enough of them or if he get's a better price with an Allen head. The price will get better if we buy more than 100 pieces. Please post if you would buy a set.
The original bolts are a trilobate prevailing torque bolt which are even better. I can try to get these bolts in the strain hardened variety but I'm not sure of the cost. The difference in length compared to the factory bolts may not need this but maybe a materials specialist can help with that info. I know that the factory bolts do a great job.

i just go to lowes and pick up some grade 8 hardware, never had a problem with the bolts backing out, no problems with gaskets blowing, only spent about 8 bux for them... not to knock your group buy, just trying to offer an alternative

I would think the bolts would be metric, not standard.

i got the 'trilobate' trianguler-ishy-thingys from FORD for like $12. have to ask for only bolts, or youll get 3 or 4 studs that no one uses...

Those bolts won't fit the Bob's log. I would have used them if they did.

Would these fit any header? Say Stingers or the ATR or a custom?

If you could give me a measurement of the bolt length required, I will try to get one bolt to fit all if possible. If you have a length that is too different then I could look into getting those bolts also on a separate group buy.

Stock bolts are too short for the log. Log header uses M10 X 1.5 X 65mm
btw..The allen head bolts I furnish are class 12.9
