Hello all, I am new to the site from WNY. Been spending a lot of time (over 10 years) lurking and researching as I swap my old TC motor into a 2.3 NA LX convertible. Sadly the TC rotted out but the drivetrain will live on.

welcome, and yeah the rust thing happens. I did see a really nice looking TC today in my travels through East Berlin PA. Actually the second one I've seen recently, the other was in New Holland PA. Good to see some them still kicking around, but definitely tough to find them not rusted out.

Names Andy, I just moved away from SD and went almost back home and back to my project car. I am slowly watching my Focus ST (daily driver) start to rust. It is very disheartening. Cannot modify a daily in good faith in these parts, but at least I have my toy back.

Hey Andy. I’m Jeremy and just NW of Rochester in Hilton ny. Have been into the 2.3t for many years, specifically the xr4ti’s.

There’s a decent cars and coffee event at The Little Speed Shop. Looks like it might be back on again covid permitting.

I’ll also be headed to Carlisle this year as long as I can get the new car together in time. There are a few other xrs around the area and occasionally an SVO here and there.

Hey Jeremey, I have been to that event once. It was a good time and I have been itching for another. I miss cruise nights. If you see a blue and white '12 or white Fox with a red roof, come and say hi. Hope to bring the Fox out this year but right now it has no rear suspension.

The Birds definitely got the short end of the straw in the northeast. More likely to have been a daily driver for sure.
