anybody have a thickwall block out there.  it can be damaged/bored silly/ need sleeved.   etc.  just not fully filled.

Obviously, you're inquiring about a tall-deck Esslinger or FMS (Ford Motor Sports) "SVO" block, Steve.  B/c - AFAIK - there's never been a production ."thick-wall" Lima block.  <shrug>  Below, are cutaway pics that were posted on TF a LONG .time ago by Rick Byrnes ("Speedie"), showing the difference in wall thickness between a tall-deck FMS block (top) and a production .Ford block (bottom):

FWIW ~ While talking with "Papa" Jon Huber (RIP) at the TF race in Tulsa several years ago, he mentioned how much better the Essy tall & medium-deck blocks were, compared to the original FMS versions...... saying that he had a "pile" (guessing 2 or 3?) of damaged  FMS blocks on the ground out next to his shop, as opposed to having zero probs with the Essy versions!  <shrug>

BTW ~ LINK (<--- clickety click). You can probably add another $300-400 S&H if you can't pick it up in Florida, lol.  <eek>

Yeah. I was looking for the svo thick wall one. Was gonna do some Frankenstein stuff.
