Does our factory tach work with a MSD ignition or do I have to have the tach adapter, pn 8910? Thanks guys,

Sorry foregot that, ts a 85 SVO. From my searching I have come to the conclusion sometimes yes and sometimes no. Ill have to get it hooked up this afternoon and find out.

I tried my 6AL the other day for kicks and tachy no worky... [ i need the adapter].

Others here say they are able to run MSD w/o the adapter [i think karnage was one].

I needed the adaptor to make the tach and ebc work on my XR4Ti.

Mine worked with no problems.In fact both my factory tach and monster tach work fine.I have the monster tach hooked right to the MSD port and the stock tach is still connected to the coil.

I dont see why it wouldnt work if it is hooked to the coil.Mine works with no problems.
