Mystery connector on mustang swap harness...
#1

Ill be the first to admit im a rookie at best with reading wiring diagrams but this has been driving me nuts.

I grabbed the 2.3 harness out of a 88 fox body. Connectors didnt get labeled unfortunately at the time.

Going over the harness for breaks and labeling I come across one that makes no sense. Unless I have the wrong diagram or dont have a 88 harness.

Heres what I found:
One side has a Red wire with a blue strip, which I cannot for the life of me find which ECU pin its supposed to go
The other side has 2 Green with a purple stripe wires going into the connector only one side seems ring out on PIN 24

My diagram says PIN 24 goes to AC DEM switch. But where does the other side of this connector go to?

On most Foxes I've had, red/blue stripe is the ignition solenoid trigger wire. Often, it is routed through a clutch switch, to the transmission tunnel, etc. Just a suggestion.

I've seen this on my harness I swear!

It's fairly gooey looking, is it the power steering pressure switch?

Edit: Maybe the A/C pressure switch?

I just checked my '89 factory wiring diagram and dollars to donuts '88 & '89 are the same. The connector you pictured plugs into the A/C pressure switch.
Your red wire is actually pink w/light blue stripe (circuit 883) and it runs to the A/C fan controller. The other 2 wires are light green w/purple stripes (both circuit 348). One runs to the ECU pin #24 and the other runs to the A/C mode switch (your actual A/C controls in the dash). Hope this helps!
