Congrats on your leak-free used w/pump, Fred! <thumbup> As you may know, fuel-rail pres should be 39psi with the (1) Key on engine off [KOEO], OR (3) Engine idling with the manifold-reference hose disconnected from the FPR. With the hose reattached, f/pres should rise commensurate with boost. I.e., 8 psi boost = 47 psi f/p (39+8)....... 13 psi boost = 52 psi f/p (39+13....... etcetera, etcetera.

Sooo....... as you've apparently surmised, you need a new f/pump with more capacity/flow. I suggest a name brand 255 pph or greater pump. IMO, a (heavy) adjustable FPR is totally unnecessary and makes the fuel rail more susceptible to cracking from engine vibrations and 4X extra weight. The stock Bosch FPR is plenty good 'nuff (having been run with several 400hp+ combos)!!  <shrug>

thanks Ray! i never ran a stock regulator with a 255 pump but thats good to know! im gonna order a 255 walbro from stinger! they have always worked good for me!
