Pics of 86 SVO like promised
#1

I have been asking a lot of questions of you guys lately and promised a few pics when the car got up and running. This is my fathers car but he's webboard challenged so i posted them up. Basically this car looks like it rolled off the show room floor, just about every piece is new. Its ashame its worth more in pieces than together, but he still likes it.

86 With Motorsports Roller cam(471 lift) and rockers and cam gear, Turbo coupe manifold, 3in downpipe and custom 2.5 in exhaust. Eibach springs(still trying to get it to sit right) and all rebuilt Koni's. 95 GT wheels with 245's in the rear and 225's in the front.

Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for all the help you have offered.

After breakin is done we are going to look into maybe swapping out the .48 housing for the .63 unit, should be good for another 20HP or so. FMIC is in the plans at that time as well, and he's looking into boost controllers at the moment and a JET chip. 300HP would be a nice goal after breaking it in.

Thanks for the kind words.

I'll see if I can get you a number on the cam and such. So far its a really nice unit, nice thump in the exhaust note from it. Car builds boost really fast with that .48 and that cam, actually almost too fast. Just about any level of throttle will get some positive pressure out of it. Got to be careful on the breakin.

Yeah, most of the guys I know with 86 SVO's have wheelspin issues with them, hope your clutch holds out...

beautiful and well balanced.
Living isnt to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting 'holy sh**, what a ride!'

Is he bringing it to the 40th Mustang Celebration in Nashville in April? If not, he should! Only 3 hrs from Kingsport. All the SVO guys are staying in Murfreesboro at the Hampton Inn.
