Pinto Alternator Brackets

UPDATE!

Comparing one of my marine alt brkts with an original Ford iteration reveals exactly 1-in span difference between the alt-mounting ears. The images below show two A-B comparative views (wider Ford = top & right):

OTOH, the two views below of a 1G alternator show the 3-in mounting boss, the rear side of which could easily be trimmed 1" for proper fitment between the ears of the marine brkt. I don't have pics of a 3G, but its' mounting-boss length is also 3" and probably just as easily trimmed. BTW, the fore/aft position of the pulley remains correct, regardless of whether or not the rear of the mtg boss is trimmed:

The upshot of all this is.....I'm willing to part with the NOS aluminum marine lower brkts for $40 each, instead of my original $60 asking price, since using 'em would require slightly more effort - namely, shortening the alternator-mounting boss 1-in. :cheers: <font color=green>
