turbo dead?
#1

well my smoking was about the same today maybe a little better but I stayed out of he throttle more. so anyway I go to get some dinner tonite and after leaving the driveway noticed it wasn't boosting....figured it was just running like ass and was cold still. so I get about a mile down the road and notice that it is just dumping out smoke non stop. also I am getting no boost and not even any whistle from it!!! so I am pretty sure the turbo is shot now. but I did manage to get my broken bolts removed from the ihi today so it is ready to bolt up to my spare e6 I cleaned up yesterday. but those are the symptomes of a bad turbo right? no boost lots of smoke?

Don't drive it more then you really have to. If any metal hits on the compresser side, you know were it might and up.

well it is parked until finals are over since I won't have time to mess with it until then. this just kinda sucks since all week it was about the same as this morning but now it is dead!!

sucks huh i have fianls all next week and my clutch just threw a spring today. DAMMIT. i have no money and little time. i did get the tranny out though. good luck with your turbo, it sounds like that is the prob to me. those e6's can be kinda a bitch to remove most of the time same with the turbo oil lines. might want to put some lubricannt on the bolts now to hopefully loosen them up a bit for when you do statrt on it.
