Ultra Copper or Stainless gasket for e6
#1

In the middle of replacing the turbine to manifold gasket due to leakage and was wondering if people have used ultra copper instead of the stainless gasket?  Probably blew when using a spark type 2 step.  If I remember correctly that is the loud explosions kind that sound cool but f stuff up.  Did a quick search and didn't find anything.  For giggles I put up a poll on the subject.

What is "Ultra Copper"? Is it alloyed with anything other than just copper? I have no experience using one in comparison to the other ~ BUT.......it's hard to imagine a copper gasket being as resistant to blow-thru as one made from embossed stainless, DUNNO. Either way, I suggest getting some proper Dodge/Holset mounting studs & nuts that won't stretch and/or using the strategy discussed in THIS thread.  . [Image: confused0024.gif]

Ray, I think Jason is referring to the ultra copper high temp silicone sealant in a tube.

The embossed stainless gasket works just fine. Like Ray said make sure you have the proper hardware to bolt down the turbo.
Regular hardware store bolts/nuts don't cut it.
