Hi all, we have a new webmaster who is working on a major upgrade to the site. I'm doing what I can to help and will keep this thread updated as we progress.
There will be a lot of changes for the better and finally the 'antique' software will go away. Unfortunately the old look of TF is going to change as the appearance can't be integrated into the new format.

Note: We will be losing the 'album' feature so if you have any pictures stored there please save them.
This will not affect any 'uploaded' pics, just the ones in your personal album.

I'm going to 'sticky' this thread and please leave any suggestions/comments/concerns you have here.

Will the upgrade allow for an increase in pics we can upload?
The reason I ask, is that I have not been able to upload pics for a while.

do you mean increase in the size of pics that are allowed?

the new system will still have an attachment system and we'll also likely add an imgur button to allow users to host their photos through imgur directly.

there is a point where attachments need to be limited, especially if the site is hosted on a VPS where disk size is more limited (which I believe turbo ford is).

No I was referring to the number of pics uploaded, not size.

So did this just start? Noticed my default URL no longer works since the url is now 'http://forum.turboford.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php' instead of ' http://turboford.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi\'

Chris, the upgrade is in progress now. Please be patient as there may be some temporary glitches.
The nameservers have been changed and the site is moving to a new host with new software.

I'm a software guy so I'm painfully aware of how upgrades can go even if everything goes right. Good luck with the upgrade and thanks for continuing to run this site for all us.

it's even worse when the software hasn't been updated in nearly 15 years. lol...
