Hi all, In the process of going through my new to me '88 Turbo Coupe I found a black box on a bracket with 2 plug connections side by side on it. The connections in the box looks like a computer card (flat). I found that it goes under the pedals/dash but not sure what it is for. I would like to make sure before I connect it. Any help would be appreciated.
Sounds to me like a ghetto aftermarket burglar deterrent that's intended to disable the starter circuit until a "key" (flat circuit-plug) is inserted.

I think its for cruise control
its a factory item though not aftermarket
1985 SVO: Pro 5.0 Shifter, Bo-port valve springs, Manual boost controller, 3 Inch downpipe
1985.5 Turbo Coupe
It turned out to be the Cruise Control module.
