been running a 75 shot on a 188k mile shortblock and 17 psi and haven't had a problem. I'd say a 100 shot would be fine. Above that I think you are in uncharted territory. The main thing is the correct plugs and the best fuel you can get ahold of. 2 degrees of spark retard per 50hp shot will help too. I have 150 hp jets and plan on using them before I leave to go to Florida. I'll post if it holds up.

I'm using a NX wet kit and mine is being injected right at the throttle body.

ok this is info. "per Joe Morgan" i personally haven't gotten around to playing with the nitrous *yet*(!!!)

joe ran like 75-100 shots on the 10 second pinto for just about EVER.

right before he switched to the Focus - he was cooking up a SWEET setup for the pinto that was never finished - but was project to push the pinto deep into 9 second territory with J/Y parts.

he had put a 150-200 shot on it and blew the head gasket right away... not because the motor couldn't handle it - but because the internal wastegate on the T3 couldn't flow enough to avoid boost creep - the result was that any 150hp+ shot cause the boost to rise uncontrolled until it was 25-27+ psi which is a TON of cylinder pressure with nitrous TOO.

to manage this he was in the process of switching to a EEC tuner, a header (yes JOE had a header built [Image: wink.gif]) and a FULL T4 with an external wastegate and an even bigger two stage nitrous kit.

to my knowledge he never got it full operational before he began the turbo Focus trek....

hope this all helps - at least a little [Image: wink.gif]

it would have been cool to see that little pinto in the 9's - it probably would have pulled it's rear bumper off on the way [Image: biggrin.gif]

most guys I know run a 10lb bottle, but I've got a few friends with 15 and 20lb bottles...

I'd just use whatever size bottle you can get for a good price... as long as it's mounted properly, there's no difference in safety between bottle sizes.
