who is using a Digital 6 Plus??
#1

I now have a new MSD Digital 6Plus box for my truck to replace the MSD 6A I had on it for the last year. This thing has a lot of nice features!I was wondering if the people who use one of these would care to share with me the settings they found work best for them.?.The one I was most interested in was the hi speed retard, how much retard are you using and when to bring it in?I cant wait to leave on the two step!!

I would also like to know this info. I picked up a used one, new in the box never installed, for $150. The directions look pretty simply especially with the wiring harness for the coil. I would really like to know what kind of switch everybody is using with the 2-step. Thaks,

I guess you and I are on our own here!I should have mine on this weekend sometime and will try and get to the track later in the week to do some testing.I am hoping that by dialing in the two step and with the addition of my Bobs Log and new T3/T4 it will dip into the 12's on my radials....

on my Pinto I set the 2 step at 4000 and was able to launch at 6psi! I had a push button sw. mounted on the shifter but you couls use a clutch sw too.

I had one on my white XR for a few miles. Never really did mess with it though.

It's for sale by the way... Smile

I have the Mallory HiFire VI Digital on mine. Its similar to the MSD Digital 6, except has the proportional boost retard like the MSD BTM.

I use the top end limiter in the box rather than the stock fuel cut. I got into it for the two step. I have it wired right into my clutch switch, and adjusted the switch so it only works 3/4" off the floor. I use the tach output from the box for my shift light. I have no use for the start retard on mine.

I will be using the window switch to activate water/meth injection in conjuntion with a pressure switch (my turbo spools quick).

I was going to wire the high speeed retard into the factory over boost switch, but there is a relay needed there, and I figured its just easier to use the proportional control with a MAP sensor since I have that feature.

The high speed retard would be great with N2O, and the window switch, just wire them together and pull timing when it activates.

You will love launching on a 2 step, just make sure your holding on and have some tires.
