Both of us have full time jobs and families and don't spend 24/7 on the internet. Yes, Rob is a very good friend of mine who donates his time (for FREE) to help run this site. I trust his judgement as I do all the mods, if you have a problem with that my phone number is below.

Just for your information, I'm am not a mod. If you paid attention Ben, you would realize I'm the "idiot" who owns this site and therefore get to make up my own rules.
I get close to 100 e-mails and PMs a day from people who don't bother to read the user agreement or bother to support the sponsors or this site, that tends to get on my nerves.

I never stated that you had to spend 24/7 or neglect your families or jobs to run this site. That is why you should get people to help out with the site that are neutral and have spare time to put towards the board. I have a job, a wife and I don't spend 24/7 on the net but I catch alot of the stuff that tends to slide by.... if you don't notice sometimes I'll post up trying to help you out.

I just think that in all fairness to the whole board that if noone can sell anything non 2.3 then so be it. NO ONE should be able to post stuff non 2.3 for sale. Period. Either noone can post up non 2.3 turbo stuff for sale or anyone can post whatever. Please be fair and consistant. Oh and I don't have long distance can I call you collect.

Oh I've paid attention Paul. I never said you were the "idiot" who owned the site. It sounds like someone is on a power trip after reading that last line.

well recieving e-mails and PM's are responsabilities that come with site ownership. if it gets on your nerves then maybe you need to get someone else to run the site.

I'm the one who called myself an "idiot", that's why its in quotes and I am not on a power trip. If people didn't always try to push the limits, maybe I wouldn't get so cranky.
The rules have not really changed since 2000 when this board was started its seems now that the membership has grown to almost 5300 that a certain amount of mutual respect has disappeared.
I got involved in 2001 when Chris still owned the site and have watched it grow and unfortunately not necessarily for the better.

The reference to "gets on my nerves" is when I receive 10-15 e-mails a day from people whining about why they can't join with aol, yahoo, hotmail, etc. because they didn't bother to read the user agreement. This is not the only site with that policy but its so much easier to just click the box that says "I Agree" and ignore the rest of the policy, rules, and guidelines.

As for the rest of it, feel free to send me your phone number and a good time to contact you. I have unlimited long distance and I will call so we can discuss whatever issues you have.

As Jed pointed out, if you see an improper post, use the Report Post icon to notify all the mods.

well, i think the guys on TF do a better job than ANYONE complaining here could. give the site to me or anyone else on this thread for a week, and anyone with any class or brain will be looking for a new forum...including me. it aint perfect, but nothing is, and you cant please everyone.
